Qujiawan ancient street, a famous historical and cultural town in China, was once the capital of the Western Hunan Hubei revolutionary base founded by the older revolutionaries such as Helong, zhouyiqun and duandechang. So far, it has well preserved 39 old revolutionary sites, known as the "museum without walls", and is the national patriotism education demonstration base, one hundred red tourism classic scenic spots and national key cultural relics protection units. The existing houses are lined with shops, whitewashed and tiled walls, cornices and diaolanghuadong. The whole style is simple and elegant, which is a model of harmony between man and nature. Qujiawan has a history of more than 500 years since it was formed in 1496, the ninth year of Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty. The ancient street is 700 meters long and nearly 3 meters wide. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, it was the well-known village of quxiang. Once the historical buildings of the ancient street were still old and well preserved, it is now the Qujiawan Revolutionary History Memorial Hall and the famous street of Ming and Qing Dynasties. In April 1988, it was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council.
